This post is of my final chosen song's lyrics and music video. During the evaluation of our three potential songs, as a group we drew to the conclusion that Fireflies by Zendaya was the best choice for our music video. This is because we could instantly come up with ideas for a concept base video as well as a narrative base video.

I will be analysing ‘If I was a boy’ by Beyoncé which is based on a narrative. The main artist’s role is of protagonist, who portrays subjective character identifies in the narrative, as shown in the music video Beyoncé plays the characters of a woman and a man in a damage relationship giving a range of view points from both characters in their broken relationship. The music video ‘If I was a boy’ by Beyoncé does not apply Todorov’s narrative model as shown in the music video it lacks of the four stages: equilibrium, disruption, resolution and new equilibrium.

Hi, my name is Sheila Amadasun and I am currently studying Media A2. In this course I will working with Maya and Hasfah producing a music video. I will posting all my research, planning and preparation for my music video. My objective is to produce a good-quality music video, and learn how to use new skills and techniques to apply them on my music video.
